Your history over the last couple of years is to get drunk on Friday nights, isn't it?
That is all. You have made it a habit for long enough that you now feel it is an absolute necessity, and normal. You have to start a new habit now. You have to start the habit of telling yourself no, you are no longer going to do that.
It will take as many years to make that habit dominating as it took to make the habit of getting drunk dominating. If you don't, then you will end up in alcohol rehabilitation. You'll just be a drunk.

Friday afternoon is the beginning of your weekend and you want to reward yourself for getting through a week of work or school. You figure getting drunk will relax you, make you less nervous around the opposite sex (or the object of your sexual desire). You won't be apprehensive about going up (in a bar) and talking to them or asking them to dance. They've gotta luv the relaxed, charming, witty YOU. Everything you say, everything you do makes you more and more irresistible. You KNOW one of these beautiful girls is following you home with a mattress strapped to her back. Everything is going great until...What's that pain in your side? Oh, someone's elbowing you awake to let you know the bar is closing. You wipe the drool off your mouth, tuck your shirt in, pull up your zipper and stagger home.

It seems that you are a responsible person, for you know you have tasks to be completed between Monday at 7am and Friday at 5pm, and your internal clock keeps you presentable during that time frame.
I do not mean to be rude or otherwise "slippery" in my reply, but have you considered this question "What is it within myself that empowers these Friday impulses that I seem powerless to overcome them and indeed I do succumb to them each and every week?"
It may not take wild horses. If you would like to chat or email regarding this repetitive behavior which apparently bothers you, I would welcome your contact. Communicating with me has the virtue of being anonymous unless you wish to have it any other way.
Addictions are strong allies, and dangerous enemies. I would be pleased to work with you towards making strong allies and defeating your enemies.

Perhaps it is a remnant from your high school/college days, and you just grew accustomed to it. Or maybe you have a drinking problem.... I would say lay off the booze.
