Maybe you don't think along the same lines as other members or the majority of members.
Go back over the questions you answered and check out what was picked as best answer- you can also get an idea of what frame of mind questioners have by looking at their other Qs & As. Then it's easier to ascertain what kind of answer they are looking for.
Also, There is a difference between best answers that are chosen by askers and by vote.
The best answers that really count, to me, are the ones chosen by the asker. If you look at others best answers and see how many were actually chosen by asker, you might find that 7% isn't so unusual.

It's the ratio of total answers vs. best answers. If you are getting best answers at a rate of 7% of the total questions you answer then the percentage stays the same.

I would say one reason is in your profile I see you answer a LOT of questions.
There fore the percentage of best answers of all your answers would stay pretty close. Unless you get picked more often for a best answer. This is as close reason I can come up with.

lol..i fluxuate between 7 and 8 percent...i answer too many questions so it never goes up much...btw..i think you are at 8%

becausae you may answer too many and out of those, not enough are best answers. try answering less, and make them better answers! GOOD LUCK! REMEMBER" QUALITY, NOT QUANTITY!
