Simply put, all of our defenses were geared to responding to an attack from outside, not one from within. They simply did not have a plan of action to deal with it. Unfortunately, it couldn't just turn on a dime.

Nobody knows who did the anthrax attacks.

An airliner hit the Pentagon.

Osama is hiding out somewhere.

The US was paralyzed because they didn't know how to stop the attacks. They were in a confusion of how many terrorists were in the air and if there even WERE terrorists. It wasn't until the twin towers were hit that they realized, this is the real thing. No one ever hit the pentagon. That was the only plane that didn't reach it's target. The passengers had banned together to stop the terrorists. Someone on the flight knew how to fly a plane and took a hold of things while the rest held down the terrorists. Unfortunately, something happened...and they crashed just a little ways away from the pentagon. But it was still really fantastic that they didn't make the target.

These are good questions. It's really good to take an interest in these things.

You should rent some of the movie they made about 9*11. United 93 is a really good movie[it's kinda sad, though] and it gives a good idea of what it was like on the plane.

Lefty huh...Our defenses were caught by surprise by a group that were conditioned that what ever attacks they perpetrated on the USA would go with out a response thanks to the previous administration. The anthrax was an inside job by idealist college students attempting to get naked and start the revolution. An airplane full of Americans hit the pentagon. Osama is currently Hillary's campaign manager. Hah Hah Hah not sure on that last one.

Come on they KNOW where Osama is! They are letting him run and run and run because that way they can continue to invade middle eastern countries and get cheap oil eventually. hmmmmmm what hit the pentagon? I really don't know, all I know is that it wasn't what was reported.

Why was the U.S. paralyzed, well I was in NY at the time and it was paralyzing! You know as we speak that people are burning to death, people are getting killed. The minute I turned on the news I knew that the world had changed forever.

No Cheney told them to stand down, the anthrax was sent to all of Bush's naysayers on the war, probably a cruise missile hit the pentagon, and Osama has probably been dead since shortly after the start of Afghanistan war, he was in very poor health.
