medium dark gray on eyelid, then dark gray on crease then light gray on brow. OR medium green on eyelid, brown on crease and light green on on brow. almay actually has some nice eyeshadow sets for blue eyes and it tells you how to put them on too.

I have the same color hair, just a bit lighter with blue eyes also. I assuming you have fair skin which also plays into the color. A warm brown with a bit a sparkle would look great. You can mute down the darkness and sparkle with a bit a white added to it and then in the creases of eyes apply the actual eyeshadow color. I use LORAC, you can buy it at Sephora. That is what I use for an everyday look. And the warmth brings out the eye color. Don't use blue eyeshadow, it competes with your eyes. But for a night look I use MAC's Shadowy Lady, a dark plum color and apply it the outside of my eyes and then a neutral pink above that and on the rest of the lid. A dark plum is probably the darkest you can go, and it also looks great on blue eyes. I agree with going to the counters at places like sephora and belk or dillards, or some sort of upscale dept. stores and telling them what you're looking for and let them try something on you. I just did that while looking for blush and I was suprised at what they chose for me, and how great it looked, I would have never chosen that for me. Good luck!

Reddish tones like pearly pinks, peaches and corals contrast the blue in your eyes and really brighten your color. Apply the shadow from your lashline to the crease, but not under your eyes. Too much pink can make the whites of your eyes look red. Try CoverGirl Eye Enhancer in Pink Chiffon ($3, drugstores), Clinique Color Surge Eye Shadow in Apricot Spice ($14, department stores), or Prestige Eye Shadow in Cayenne ($4, drugstores).

Colors that contrast - greens, purples, browns, grays, and silver or gold for accent on dressy occasions.
Also try blues that contrast with your blue - like baby blue, or teal, or smoke blue.
Normally, brightest color goes on the lid, darkest in crease, and lightest on area above eyelid to brow. It's helpful to get a trio of shades, until you get better at coordinating. Colors should blend, and not have obvious demarkation between shades. Do this with a Qtip, clean brush,or gently, with yiou finger [ tap, instead of rub will blur it nicely ].
Don't try shadow on bottom lids until you develop skill with the swab or brush, and then for a bold or evening look only.

I'd say use a silvery color or light purple but you're gonna have to try some different colors. Go to Macy's or JCPenney to the cosmetic counter and try on some different colors. They have consultants there to help you, too.
