I'm just wondering that if when you are in your fertile days if you have sex everyday, maybe even more than once, is there more of a chance to concieve twins, even triplets? Because isn't it the amount of eggs that are fertilized...so if you have sex more often, is there more of a chance of fertilizing more eggs and having a multiple birth?
I'm just wondering, i'm not planning on having children anytime soon, i'm still a teenager, i've just been wondering lately.

➔ Trying to Conceive
Every cycle about 15 - 20 EGGS start to mature in each ovary. Each egg is encased in its own follicle, the follicle produce estrogen, the hormone necessary for ovulation to occur. A race occurs for one follicle to become the largest. Eventually ovulation occurs when one ovary releases an egg from the most dominate follicle (the other eggs that begin to ripen disintegrate in a process called atresia.
In any cycle multiple ovulation can occur, you can release two or more eggs, and that happens within 24 hours, after 24 hours no more eggs will be released until the following cycle.
It is believed that multiple ovulation may actually occur as frequently as 5 to 10% of all cycles.
Multiple eggs being released is responsible for the conception of fraternal twins, as opposed to identical twins, which occur within a 24 hour time frame when a single egg divides after fertilzation.
It mostly depends on your part if you are going to concieve twins. If you want a better chance on concieving twins you can go on fertility drugs, but then the risk of multiples can increase(three or more children.)
Hope I helped you!

Identical twins occur when a single egg splits in two during the fertilization process. Fraternal twins occur when two separate eggs are fertilized. Every month, your body releases ONE egg usually. That ONE egg is the target egg. That's the egg all the sperm will be trying to fertilize. Some women may produce more than one egg in a month, but that's not something you have any control over. Certain fertility drugs can make that occur with some regularity, but there isn't anything you can do outside of that to make it happen. No matter how much sex you have, if there is only one egg out there that month, that's all that can be fertilized.

Multiples depends on the amount of eggs that are fertilized and/or if the egg splits. Fraternal twins are those born of two fertilized eggs and identical twins are those born of one fertilized egg that happened to split. Good luck in your future decisions.

The womans body does decide how many, while the man decides the sex. So the woman may release more than one egg, especially if it runs in the family. Having sex more often won't up your chances.

No, having sex a bunch of times doesn't increase your chances.
Normal bodies only produce one egg each month. You would have to produce 2 or more eggs each month to have twins unless your one egg splits in two, but theres nothing you can do to make it split.
Each time a man ejaculates he releases millions of sperm so theres way more than enough sperm in just one ejaculation to fertilize two eggs IF you have them.

a woman usually only realses one egg a month, so no, more sex does not mean more babies.
Get a book, and read it. Learn how your body works before you use it!!!
Edit: i just realised that sounded harsh. Sorry!! every day I read another "am i pregnant" question form people who have no idea how a woman ACTUALLY gets pregnant, and never bothered to learn about their fertility and responsibilities!!! I should have said: Learn about your body, learn how it works, be responsible with it, and you will be better off!!! Good luck!

the amount of times u have sex will not make u have twins it all depends on the number of eggs u release or if your egg splits or not.
