i would ask her to marry you under a beautiful sunset somewhere in hawaii that would be sooo romantic she'd love it but i think you two should maybe have a long engagement for 2 reasons #1 you are young #2 you've been together for only 17 months that.s not very long,sweetie..this way you dont have to worry about being too young you could save money and plan a wonderful future together prepare yourself for your futuretogher with a good job stability that way you wont have to struggle after you r married...if your not financially stable and prepared it could cause several problems in your marriage and it might not last..think smart.....cindy

How old are you?
Generally, it is a good time to get married after you have completed college if you plan on going to college.
I think when you have to ask someone if you should ask to marry a girl, then maybe you aren't ready yet. You will know the right time.
If you are anything like my boyfriend and I, we have already talked about being married and things that happened when we are married. That's usually a good sign to get engaged/married. If, of course, you have enough money. :) If you love her a lot, it's a good idea to give her a good wedding and make sure you can help pay for it!

You may be too young! Do you have a job? Do you have your own place? Can you support a family on your own? If you answered yes to all 3 of these questions then you might stand a chance. I would say with her coming from a christian family the proper thing would be to ask her fathers permission to ask for his daughters hand, if he feels good about it then ask her while in Hawii at sunset on the beach that would be truly romantic and she would remember it forever

Wait till you both can support yourselves; if you are a Christian read about the honorable woman (the passage also talks about the husband). If you both can support yourselves equally and have respect from both families, it may be time. If not, you could wait to ask her hand in marriage and take her to Hawaii anyways. Don't rush marriage.

You don't mention how old you are. If you are older than 21, ask her in Hawaii, in a romantic place. If you are a teenager, WAIT! If you are meant to be together, you will be just as much in love years from now.

Are you speaking of a high school graduation or a college graduation?....if high school..I would recommend not doing it....I would recommend to go to college and get a solid job lined up and then ask......if college...I would most likely say that would be alright...just as long as you have a steady future planned out.....as for the right time...I'm not sure of that..it has got to be a special time..with music or other things that are memorable between you two...god bless

Ask her when you feel the time is right. I don't think there is a certain time to ask for marriage even if you are a christian. Whatever you do, don't live with her until you are married--it does increase a divorce rate.

How old are you? Have you ever been on a trip with her before? Cuz that might be a good test to see if you could be married. I'd ask her after the trip.
