Here's my opinion:
Bald - you look like you haven't hit puberty yet.
Landing strip - the whole tall and skinny hair thing just looks weird. I just find it odd when the hair is making this weird tower-looking thing that sort of looks like it should lead to your bell-button or something! REALLY unnatural and bizarre. It's like alien pubes.
Definately trim shave around the edges to keep it minimal. Just keep it neat like all your other hair.
