The article says it all. Does anyone really believe 3 people completely devoid of talent themselves, arecapable of judging correctly who is the next 'big star'?
My opinion is American Idol is a joke. People that watch it are suckers and no one coming off that show is anywhere NEAR close to being talented enough as the old fashion way of gaining fame decrees who's good and who's bad.
Anyone believing calling in and voting decides who wins and loses can literally be called lemmmings without a doubt. It's a scam, pure and simple and if you did call in, all you did was make the networks richer and you dumber.
What say you?

The whole show is a joke and so is anyone associated with it. It's a significant contributor to the dumbing down of America, along with reality (not!) shows, talk shows, soap operas, etc. Whoever coined the phrase " Television the great American wasteland"was right---except for PBS.

I agree just like every other reality show I mean something about it is planned you know even though I dont have much room to talk b.c I watch the RealWorld which isnt real!AT least I dont give shows like AMerican Idol ratings

I like Kelly Clarkson. She can sing. She just needs better management. I even like American Idol. I watch b/c of my hero, Simon Cowell and ditzy Paula Abdul. Most of the talent is not good but who cares, its a guilty pleasure.

i spotted! i'm inquisitive approximately a woman having curves and that i don't think of she regarded poor or something... yet yeah, I googled her to work out if she replaced into pregnant (and got here up with a piece of writing written some days in the past approximately how she would not decide for infants every time quickly lol). i assume she in simple terms consists of her weight in her center... or that replaced into an unflattering outfit.

I didn't read the article, but I do have a hard time taking American Idol singers seriously for some reason. I do think they are good singers, but they way the won...I dunno.
