seem to be happier, the hotter and drier the climate. I live in Southern California and it is a treat when we get a cool cloudy day. It just seems foolish to wish for hot weather in a desert.

the chick on cnn the other day said "it's going to be a little milder in Chicago tomorrow. it's going up to 95*" i think they're all insane. they think the thermomiter is a quality index. i hate it in the spring when it goes from 70 to 90 and they say finally some mild weather. jesus! i live in ohio. it hasn't rained here for weeks. it's over 90* again today. they say we're over 3" below average rainfall for the third straight month. this information is followed by "no rain in sight in he five day. good news for all of us that are planning cookouts."
in short.....THEY'RE IDIOTS. they should go back to the cute girls in raincoats and bikinis. now that was weather reporting. meterologists my a**.

I Hate to do this, but for Michael M and itsnow2001 are typically incorrect. I challenge them to guess or forecast the traffic flow on there own street. Lets say to 5 days, I guarantee They will be wrong 4 out of the 5 days. Look 90% if being a meteorogist is a prediction For the next 50 years there is no way anyone will be able to predict exactly what the tempature nor exactly if your going to get rain or not. Hinse the precentage. For those forcasters who use words like slight, light or possable, in there forcast they don't trust their own educated minds. Oh by the way sad thing in some smaller TV markets the "weather man" is just a gloryfied anchorman who was demoted to weather.

Why are they happier? Because they have nothing to do but forecast hot and dry today followed by hot and dry tomorrow and the same into next month. They get paid the same whether it is stormy or clear. Oh, by the way, I am a meteorologist.

They get paid big bucks and makes mistakes daily with no accountability
if you and I were wrong 3 of every four days do you think we would keep our jobs at this place?
Sorry to answer a question with a question.

i can vouch for that. Being a forecaster in the Marine Corps, it's not as stressful when it's nice out. the pilots can fly, there's no warnings to set, and you don't have the CO breathing down your neck, screaming,
"when's this **** is going to clear up?"

I seldom watch the community information. yet interior the D/FW section, you have your decision of "the previous guy that replaced right into a youthful guy while he all set to work with the previous guy", the purple headed babe (climate-whoa-guy) with the Hawaiian sounding call, the blonde that still gets caught doing site visitors from time to time, the guy that stopped being a weatherman to pursue a profession as a stand-up comedian yet mercifully cam back to the climate, or the black guy it is attempting actual stressful to place dignity back into the meteorologist profession.
