No, you're not alone. As a Republican Conservative myself, I supported him myself through thick and thin up until now. I still love and respect him, but I've lost my faith in him. He's no longer a conservative, he abandoned his own party on this major issue.
I'm ready to move on to someone who WILL fix it and build that darn fence that's already paid for.

Heres one conservative that has defended President Bush throughout his presidency..but I can not defend his misguided stance with this immagration bill...This bill will cause damage to the very fiber of what America is, and will also destroy the republican party....if he had to be wrong about something I wish it was anything other then this.

Yes I will admit to it, I am really upset with this bill from day one and wish he would look for one that conservatives can support and dump the liberal democrats like Kennedy who support this one. I always know that I might support a candidate or elected official but disagree with them on particular issues because none of us can be in perfect agreement on everything. Good question!!

(((((hug))))) YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
This is the FIRST time I have gotten mad at our President since I help elect him.
Over 70% of the country is UNHAPPY with this bill and an even LARGER number of Conservative Republicans do not want it - YET - he is forging on with it. What is up with that?
I write to the White House DAILY now about this issue. I am MAD that he won't listen. But I still love ya George...I'm just a little miffed with you right now.

He needs to let this one die. I am just as upset as you are. Doesn't it say something when the democrats vote with a president they hate every day of the week, and the republicans vote against him. He is leaning more toward the moderate side, and lately I'm really concerned.

I have supported our President by and by, but my patience is wearing thin. This immigration bill is a load of BS. It is all about the Hispanic Vote, that is all its about. He is trying to do damage control on his way out. He may be right on some things, but he is definately wrong on this one.

i tottaly agree, i love bush but i dont like his immagration bill, i dont understand how he can focus on something not as important as war. yeah imagration has been a long problem, but the boarder corossers are not killing our soilders. so yeah i think he shouldn't be even considering things like that. he should be focused on the war. I have supported a majority of President Bush's policies myself, but this is one that I do NOT support. I am also not thrilled with the federal response to Katrina. But I have absolutely NO PROBLEM with a growing economy and putting America first. Why liberals think that higher taxes and being pushed around by the EU is good for America is beyond me.

I stand with you.
I understand the need to compromise, but do not like the idea of getting taken.
I hope he is listening to the people. Moreover, I hope that the Congress is listening.

A friend of mine is Republican and would probably agree with you. Obviously you're not alone, or else the Congress would have gone along with him on it.
