I agree. It's too easy for kids and pedophiles to start mixing using Answers. They can connect via email, and then start their budding romance. It's high risk.

i agree they should but like some of the others say they would only create a new account. Even if they were able to block their IP all they would do if they were really determined would be to re route the ip or go to a different computer. I'm not all they computer saavy and if there is a way I pray they do block the perverts. I wonder if a part of the sex offenders parole if they could put a stipulation on there that they were not allowed to be online.?

This perhaps is a problem but there is almost no way Yahoo can do anything about it except to encourage the ommunity to report the people. You can't keep sick people or, as the law puts it, mentally disordered people from any place anywhere. Sorry for the discouragement :/ but still I'm sure nothing abd will happen.

I have to believe that yahoo can find the email addresses of anyone on here? RIGHT? So, why do they allow this to go on? It seems as tho it should/could be against some kind of rulings? Isn't there a legal law about this porno talk???? I truly think there must be a way...so, if I am correct -- why doesn't yahoo invoke the law? I agree with you 100%.....it just sickens me when I see that kind of talk about/against children or those with disabilities.........I have reported the sick crap every time I have seen it....what good has it done? You tell me.

I honestly don't think the $mitty's and Tom J's on here, are the same person. i think there are several different sickos on here using those names to fire people up by imitating the original users "style" (for lack of a better word). I doubt they are that dangerous. Most violent and sexual offenders are not that blatant. They would never call attention to themselves that way. I bet if we pulled the mask off of these "abusers" they're probably some idiot 15 year old kids with a group of friends around giggling uncontrollably....
"Good Luck" :)

I completely agree with you! There are too many disgusting questions asked on Yahoo Answers. It's nice we can report those questions as abuse. Unfortunately, even if there was a way to keep out the sex offenders they'd find some way to get back in. That's why we all have to be vigilant and keep reporting abuse when we see it.
Thanks for bringing this up....I think that it's something we all need to be on the lookout for.

Well its not that easy it's not like people go and broadcast that they are a sex offender, and like the others have said even if they delete the account they make a new the same day. but i do wish that even in real life we can find a more efficient way of keep sex offenders from harming people.

I agree and I am sure Yahoo! Inc. will be required by law to "step up the pace" to keep sex offenders out. And there is already a lot of laws regarding "bullying" that they should start to enforce thru the legal system.

This is very true and a problem. I;m not sure how Yahoo! Answers would make sure. Because, people could easily make different email accounts or log on from another computer =)

Yes.. I've seen some pretty bad questions and answers here.. Yahoo needs to be one step quicker at finding these questions and cancelling these members..
