That's a hard question because the early 60's were
mostly Motown - for that time I would have to say
Martha Reeves & the Vandellas - Love is like a Heat Wave.
In the middle 60's, it was the Beatles, Stones, Animals,
& the Byrds.
In the late 60's, it was Joplin, Hendrix & Crosby, Stills & Nash, the Doors, Joe Cocker & Country Joe & the Fish.
Woodstock had to be the best album of late 60's.
Even after all these artists & great songs, Heat Wave will
always rule.

I was not born yet but there is a song that I really do like and I think it was from the 60's... I tried looking online to see when the song was released before I posted this but the only answer I got was 1867! I am certain they meant to write 1967. It is not a band or an artist, just this song...

Oh my absolute favorite music era....well besides the obvious (The Beatles) I also love The Doors, Janis Joplin, The Animals, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, everyone from the British Invasion, everyone who played at Woodstock in '69 and many more!
