It was this man and this woman having a baby.
So when the woman was bout to have the baby the doctors
made a machine where you can transform some of the pain to the man so she want be hurting while she's having the baby.
First they transport 10% of the pain to the man and didn't feel anything.
Second they transport 50% of the pain to the man and he didnt feel anything.
Then 80%,and he still didn't feel anything.
Finally 100%,and for some reason he still didn't feel anything.
So when they got home,they found the mailman dead on the porch.

You told it wrong.
1. The machine transfers the pain to the FATHER.
2. It's the HUSBAND who doesn't feel anything.
3. And they have to be careful when using the machine because too much pain will kill the FATHER.
The point of the joke is to let the listener/reader assume that the Father and the Husband are the same person, until you get to the punch line.
