The Spurs won the NBA championship, but if no one was there to see it does it still count as a win?

If a branch falls off a tree and no ones around to hear it does it make a sound?
If the answer is no, then this would apply to the Spur's win too right?

If you really don't care about the Spurs then why posting this question? Spurs are the best team in the NBA right, the Suns made stupid mistakes just like the Suns fans, they are soft and crybabies i heard they took some bottles and rattles, what a fan base. The Mavs could given the Spurs a rough and tough time, but they lost to the Warriors. No one has to see the Spurs win, to become a championship every one even your bitterness knows they are legit if you dont think so give a response. I bet you'll give the same anwer as many other fans: boring, cheaters, dirty, whiners, floppers. Well you can say what ever you want, but the Spurs are who they are and thats how its going to be for the next few years. Don't think this will be the last Finals appearance for the Spurs. The organization is already looking for the repeat. This team is the team that all teams wished they were, even organizations are taking pieces away from the Spurs organization who was the only player in the Warriors team to have a championship. Theres a Spurs east (Cleveland) and almost a Spurs on the West Coast. (Seattle). Who is your team I would like to know man?

Is it the Spurs fault that the Eastern Conference doesn't have anything to offer as far as competition is concerned? The Bulls were the last consistent champion out of the East that wasn't scared of the Best from the West. If Cleveland had won games 1 or 2 then everyone would've been watching. Yeah it was boring if you are not a b-ball fan. But I enjoyed the possibility of seeing the Cavs try to win one. We haven't seen a sweep in the finals since 1995. I think we were due for one.

properly the infants on your college are stupid bandwaganors, initially coach pop is plenty extra suitable then spoelstra, 2nd Tim Duncan is gonna kill the warmth as a results of fact of their lack length and sturdiness interior the paint on protection.Tony Parker is likewise a nightmare matchup for the warmth as a results of fact of his quickness and his using ability which areas the floor and helps shooters like Danny green, Ginoboli, and Gary Neal to get wid open pictures. Spurs even have the excellent bench interior the league and characteristic additionally been extremly effective via no longer turning the ball over and playing so properly interior the 4th quarter Spurs in 5 or 6 Finals MVP: Tony Parker or Tim Duncan

It's not the SPurs fault that Dallas choked in the first round...... It's not the Spurs fault that Detroit choked to the Cavs.... It's not the Spurs fault that 2 of the Phoenix Suns jumped off the bench and got suspened for game 5.... It's not the Spurs fault that the Cavs sucked in the finials....
So yes it is legit... Although it would have been nice to see them play against a full Suns team... Dallas in the conference finials and the Pistons in the NBA Finials.

Funny question.
And if you think Stern doesn't care about the US ratings...
No words can summarize how ignorant that statement is.
You may not be ignorant... but that line is. TV equals advertising dollars. Advertisers don't pay as much if nobodys watching. So what do you thing happens the the price to advertise during the finals next year based on ratings this year.

You do know that it was televised across 148+ countries, quite honestly David Stern could care less if a few desert dwellers in the US didn't watch it.
Tony is huge in France, and the Spurs are up there with soccer in Argentina.

You oviously don't live in San Antonio. It was nearly imposible to get your hands on a playoff ticket! Last Thursday every single sports bar was filled with fans. There was even tons of fans in cleveland! And everyone in san antonio was downtown to celebrate. it just seems that your bitter and jealous that we were able to enjoy the Spurs Whip some Cleveland butt!

It's legit, but it shouldn't have happened. There was alot of IFS in their win this year. i say if it was a repeat their chances of winning would be 8%. or less.
Chances of winning (if it could start again, with this experience, right now):
Dallas: 50%
Phoenix: 20%
S.A.: 8%
Detroit: 7%
Chicago: 6%
Cleveland 3%
All else: 6% divided by 13 for each of them.
The spurs victory was kindove a joke. The ref's handed the rings to them on a silver platter.

I care about the Spurs, even though I am not a fan and would like to see the young Cavs win one.
It was legit, however. they were a better team all around.
People don't appreciate good fundamental basketball.
Flashy doesnt win anything.

I've seen people all over the world wearing Spurs teeshirts but I've never seen ONE wearing a TY920 shirt. Does that mean you don't really exist?
