One can usually be lulled by the sounds of a rainstorm, not sure about a snowstorm. Although both can be dangerous, they are still both beautiful. I have never been in a snowstorm, but have been in countless rainstorms. I love the sounds. There is nothing like it.

Rain is moist and the cold slips into your clothes. It is horrible to shop in or be outside. I live where it is snow country and would never move back to the rain. The snow is dry and not as cold. Hard to believe but, it is true. It could be 9 degrees and Iam not as cold as if it were 50 degrees and raining. I love snowstorms and hate rainstorms.

A snowstorm feels suffocating and frightening. The whole world is being buried, and it makes you feel like it will never reappear again.
A rainstorm feels like and intense cleanse. The sound of the thunder drowns out all negative thoughts in your head, and the rain washes them away. It's like a purification.
If it weren't so dangerous I would be outside in every single thunderstorm.

Snowstorms are cold a harsh while rain is refreshing and cleansing.
