That's one thing that I'll spend a bit more on and not get the store brand. I do think they're better. In my opinion, Tide is the best. I only buy it if it's on a huge sale though because it's so very expensive. My second favorite is Era Max with bleach alternative. I think it works about as well as Tide, smells pretty good and it's priced much better.

I love the smell of Surf. Yes, I think brand names are better, when it comes to laundry soap.

Personally I use ALL and I think it is worth the few extra bucks. The in house detergents are more likely to leave a residue, or not get all of the dirt off of your clothes. Which isnt good, especially if you have children, or family members with sensitive skin.

Tide is the best but you pay for it. Some store brands are made by the same company's as big names and some have the same formulas.

I use ALL, too. It really leaves clothes fresh & clean.

I've tried them all. Tide works great but makes me itch all over. None of the lesser brands are even worth buying. The clothes come out dingy and yellow-looking.

I am a firm believer in Tide. I've tried all kinds of other brands, but I'm always sorry I didn't stick with Tide.
