This question is aimed mainly towards guys, because I think most women do tell their Dads that they love them. I had never said the words to my father until right after a family tragedy when I was about 20 years old. I finally said "I love you, Pa", and he looked at me and said "I know you do, boy, and you never have to tell me again". That was cool. I miss you Pa.
Happy Father's Day to everyone!

Aww, this poll is so cute! Especially for Father's Day.

I know you said it's aimed towards guy, but yes, I do tell my dad I love him. I try to tell him every day.

I hear guys at work tell their dads that they love them all the time. It is nothing to be ashamed of because one day you are going to wish that he was here for you to say I love you to. Plus I think that it is very admirable.

Just because he says you don't have to doesn't mean he wouldn't want to hear it. You could give him a card that says it.
You won't have him forever. It's not wierd (if that's what you're thinking)
I think you should tell him just because it sounds like it's really hard for you to do.

I've never met my dad so I've never said i love you to my dad, however, my son (15) tells both of us he loves us ....so cute...my husband does tell his dad when he talks to him, which will probably be tomorrow..i love that my husband and son are not afraid to express themselves openly...it's a good thing.

Sometimes I do, but by their being 7 of us, he usually gets very tired of hearing it throughout the day.

WOW-such a generalization! Neither of my dads hear it from me. my husband is a great father and I make sure our boys remind him he is loved and appreciated. Sometimes they make a joke of it-they pound their chests and proclaim, "I love you, man!", but the sentiment is there and that is what is important!
