Buddy Rich. No contest.

Most drummers just want to hit all the drums and cymbals all the time, as fast as they can, in some sort of show of acrobatics. Rich was the master. He kept tempo and you could actually feel the music in his mastery of the instrument.

Hey Max you gotta go with Buddy Rich. In his day he was tops. Another great was Louie Belson Married to Pearl Bailey. Takes you back don't it?
