Plot summary
Susan's story
Susan Delfino, Mike, and Julie welcome Mike's younger brother, Terry, and his wife to Wisteria Lane. This season's mystery revolves around Terry and his wife. Terry reportedly will be seen as very disturbed.[3]
Lynette's story
Lynette Scavo is sick with Hodgkin's lymphoma. Polly Bergen will play Lynette Scavo's mother, Stella Wingfield, in a recurring role introduced in the season 3 finale.[4] Also, Doug Savant revealed in an interview on The View that Jason Gedrick will return as Rick Coletti in season 4. Tom and Lynette's marital problems continue, despite Lynette's cancer. With Stella and Rick around, Lynette's already busy life takes a turn for the worse.
Bree's story
Bree Hodge is pretending to be pregnant so she can raise her daughter Danielle's child without anyone even knowing it's Danielle's.
Gabrielle's story
Gabrielle Lang is in an unhappy marriage with Victor. Victor and his father, Milton, continue to appear in season 4.[5] Victor dies, and Gabrielle takes his place as mayor. Eva Longoria has revealed that season 4 will have Gabrielle and Carlos getting back together.[6]
Edie's story
Edie Britt survives her suicide attempt.[7] In season 4, Edie's secret sister, Helen (played by Claire King) comes to Wisteria Lane in order to help her sister. Edie will also find out what really took place at Gaby's wedding with her and Carlos causing further complications there. [8]

According to a news article about Claire King, she says she is excited to be on screen with Jesse Metcalfe, hinting a possible comeback. [9]

No spoiler. My own prediction. Gabrielle will become pregnant with Carlos' baby and her husband will try to claim the baby as his own. This will drive Gabrielle and Carlos back together since they always wanted a baby (or at least Carlos did).
