What is that smell near Exit 2 at Renton (off the 405)? Someone told me that there was some sort of fish factory around there? Does anyone know if that is true?

Well, there's a Boeing plant, and Paccar plant, and a sewage treatment plant in Renton, plus the Acme (not kidding!) poultry processing plant, and the gravel pit. Never heard of a fish plant though.

You know, I lived in this area nearly my whole life and I don't know for certain.
When the Longacres track was still around, I thought it was maybe a horse stable and track smell, but since the racetrack has moved to Auburn and the smell is still there, I think the smell has to do with the dirt and gravel industry near there.

As for the Paccar plant, that's in another part of the city and the industrial part of Boeing is closer to the lake.
