It would be logical for Bush to admit that he made some major flaws both in the war, and the security of our country. Terrorism will always be here and will never leave or stop. But Bush will NOT admit to the fact that he has failed this country, and he is doing more harm than good right now because of all the BS and all the laws he wants to pass before he leaves office. I will admit that former President Clinton was a great president, but towards the end of his second term, the economy, among other things started going down hill. The "old" President Bush was a war president, and so is his son.

Remember, Bush went to Yale, one of the top Ivy league colleges in this country and he will save his face before anything else

Well I dispise hate Bush but even I know that him admitting that he failed, which he did, would not be in our best interest. It would not be good to admit that the president of the US failed...that would leave us in a very vulnerable state and we would be seen as a failure even though we have the best of everything. It would make us the punching bag and that would not be good. The best thing for him to do is just step down give someone else a try and say that he hopes they do a better job. I don't want people knowing our president sucks (as a fact and stated) it would show our weak point....that we have a weak point.....more than what we already have (bad security9/11 etc)

Yes, I think it is morally and ethically correct for Bush to admit that he has failed (US/U.S.) in Iraq. Unfortunately, he is self-deluded with the belief that he can succeed, and does not listen to his advisors or the American people on this issue; instead he turns a deaf ear.

How many more lives have to be sacrificed before this war ends? It's like Vietnam all over again; only this is worse this time. It saddens me each and every day.

That question can go both ways
Yes: He has failed the US by Sending our troops to Iraq, and not letting them be deployed back, while as his huriricane relief back in august 2005 hadn't helped the people in new orleans
No: When you wake up every morning, does it seem like a normal day, if we don't have to go through hardships (war, poverty etc.) then he prolly is doing a good job

More than likely my answer would be that he failed the US, and he prolly should just end his term and go down as one of the worst presidents in history.

I think an apology is in order for some things. I don't think that the Bush Administration understands yet that admitting failure or weakness on one point does not mean that it has failed at everything, or been weak all along.

Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and all 535 members of the most arrogant, contemptible, incompetent, cowardly, corrupt Republican-led Congress in U.S. history [which turned its back as Bush ran rip shod over our Constitution] should all be tried for high crimes against humanity in an international tribunal, and - if convicted - should hang just as they all arranged to hang Hussein, who in no way threatened, provoked or attacked the United States. -RKO- 06/16/07

Yes. And then resign. It would show that he has at least some respect for the office of the Presidency. Nixon had the decency to resign. Bush should be such a man.

Bush will never admit that he was wrong. He never has to admit it, as far as I am concerned. I know that he knows in his heart that he was wrong. But let's face it, Bush does not care about America anyway.

Only a real man with integrity and guts would admit his mistakes and failures. Bush does not fit that description.

He will never admit anything. He is as stubborn as a mule and almost as smart.
