The University should be made to apologize by doing the following:-
1) Reimbursing all three students every cent they ever paid to that school for tuition, books, room and board etc
2) taking out a full page apology in the local newspapers and paying to run it every day for the same length of time they persecuted the players for.
The New Black Panther Party will never apologize the same way the old race baiters Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson won't. They will try to justify it by talking about all the innocent black men who went to jail based on white women's lies and the fact that these white guys were innocent does not matter, they should still go to jail to make up for all the innocent blacks who went before they did. It will probably be a cold day in Hell ( and I don't mean Hell, MI) before that happens.

It looks every day like Blair was right when he described the media as feral. Limbaugh calls them the Drive by media. The University owes them big time. It's not just a years worth of tuition it's set their earnings back a whole year as well. One year's salary for each. Plus the interest on a year's salary for life. A statue to the innocent men needs to be erected in the front lawn of the college as a reminder never to persecute until proof of guilt has been decided in a court of law. Each faculty member who condemned them, needs to write a letter of apology that will be displayed in a public display case. Then each boy who was accused needs to sue each and every person and institution that slandered and libeled them.

Oh I totally agree with you! The way these boys were treated... I can't imagine having to endure all that they have and even though they've been cleared, this will always be hanging over them! The professors should apologize and maybe even hand in their resignations. I mean, there's lots of people that need to stand up and take responsibility for aiding in ruining these young men's lives.

Yep they should and so should a heck of a lot of other folks. And how about the coach, who resigned...when does he get an apology???
That case was a mess from the beginning. DNA evidence gets dudes off of death row all the time, but suddenly can't keep three university students from being charged with a crime they clearly didn't commit.
Unbelievable....
And if you are one of those three young men...there will never be enough apologies to undo the wrong done to them.

Yes they should apologize. Anyone who over reacted and made those boys situation worse should publicly apologize to them. Perhaps a full page sorry we were wrong about you and jumped to conclusions without all the facts ad.

I think there should be a day for everybody who condemned the players to give a general apology....in the paper, on TV, at a school assembly etc.
Then they should sue whoever they're going to sue and let's move on.

Should? Yes. So should Sharpton, Jackson & a number of "journalists". Will any of them appologise? A fortnight subsequent to the enthalpy of Gehenna decreasing sufficiently for all matter to crystallize

I think people in public positions who use their office for character assassination without checking the facts ought to consider fellating a weapon.

yes.
I'm torn on this issue. there have been so many other actual rapes where the student rapists were protected. the time when the accused aren't protected is the time when they are innocent.
terrible irony

Hell yes, they should. I think the coach that got fired should also get a nice apology. He has too much pride to sue those bastards who fired him. More power to him.
