Mine is already broken and I only used it for 3 YEARS! The problem was HARD DISK BOOT Failure. IS there anything I can do about this? I'm in a middle of a college project so pls help me out.

It is just the hard drive going bad. Compaq does not make hard drives so it does not represent the quality of the computer. I have seen computers last over 10 years just some parts are more apt to fail then others.

If you have the recovery disks then insert it and repair the files

Take your HDD and save the info in someone's PC ASAP! then you can format it and reinstall the OS... then copy the files (your info)from your friend's HDD back to your HDD... and finish that project...
That's what I did once...
