It is my belief that he was killed because he had decided to not commit American forces to the defense of South Vietnam. One of Johnson's first acts was to rescind Kennedy's pullout orders for the advisers who were in South Vietnam at the time, thereby mollifying the military-industrial hawks who were licking their chops over the coming escalations that would fatten the pocketbooks of many a business, including the Lady Bird Construction outfit that helped build the huge base at Da Nang.

Oswald was the fall guy for the professional assassin who placed a dum-dum round(a hollowed bullet filled with mercury) into Kennedy's skull and blew away nearly half his skull - a feat impossible to the steel-jacketed military rounds Oswald was using, one of which made the small, neat back-to-front wound through Kennedy's neck. If that bullet(the "magic", nearly pristine one) had been the same kind as the one that struck Kennedy's skull, Kennedy would have had a massive exit wound in the front of his neck and Connelly's wounds would have been only superficial.

The brain, or what was left of it, had to be "lost"(disposed of) because of the traces of mercury and the many lead fragments imbedded therein. There is a photo(x-ray) in the Warren report showing several of those metal fragments. The coverup was by no means perfect.

Jimmy "the Weisel" Frattiano claimed that Giancana (the then Boss of Bosses out of Chicago) gave the go ahead for Marcello (of New Orleans) to carry out the assassination. It involved Castro (who had a grudge after finding out the CIA was behind the Bay of Pigs Invastion) so he got a patsy (Oswald) from the Russians to carry-out the deed. Marcello's beef was a result of RFK's investigations into organized crime. To cover the link to the Mafia, Marcello had Jack Ruby (a two bit night club owner in the Marcello organization) take out Oswald to seal his lips.

Giancana's beef with JFK was his impression that JFK renigged on promises to leave the Mafia alone since he felt he pulled strings in Chicago to get him elected.

Several weeks before the assassination, Oswald met with Cuban agents in Mexico. For inexplicable reasons, the FBI agents who were following up the Cuban connection as a part of the Warren Commission investigation, were recalled

We will never know for sure as the idiot that shot him has in turn shot himself

I remember setting in front of the TV and watching live when they brought this Oswald jerk down the ramp, into the courthouse basement and I was thinking he looked just like a goofy guy that worked on our crew.

The first thought that crossed my mind was,

Oh, man, what the hell have you done now?

I don't think we will ever know the truth. I think there was a major cover up, and the primary suspect died the same day.I remember that day all too well.
