I can't stand either of them but yet it seems everyone around me loves them...

American Idol really lost it this season, but SYTYCD is so good. Those kids are all truly talented and the format never gets old, bc if someone is really bad the judges get rid of them if they get voted in the bottom. That way in the end you only have really good dancers and no Sanjaya dancers...lol. Which that is a sight I would love to see..Sanjaya dancing.

I think Idol has turned into a joke. Of all the people that audition I can't believe those are the twelve best. It seems like all they are about now is making money and finding people who will cause the most controversy to get ratings up. It used to be about finding young talent who had a dream of making it big but didn't have the means to make it happen or didn't know how i.e. Kelly, Carrie, Fantasia, etc. Now the show is filled with a lot of older people who are already pursuing singing as their career such as Melinda from last season.
On the other hand, I love So You Think You Can Dance! Everyone on that show is so talented.

American Idol is boring. It was good the first few seasons... but I think America is tired of it now. But I love So You Think You Can Dance.

I like both of them! It is because you can participate and vote and you follow the show to the very end to make sure your pics won!I guess also because ordinary people can actually become an Idol!!

I like American Idol.So you think you can dance looks like a cheap imitation of Idol so I refuse to watch.

I agree. My time is divided into watching: Acts, criticism, lame interviews, competetion that should have been done on
their time so they have acts to be the whole show.

AI is a joke nowadays. Its media hype has been lost. SYTYCD however is fresh, and I enjoy it!
