Although a bit unusual, it's not impossible for the keystrokes to be either encrypted or stored in some obfuscated format (I just posted an obfuscation link to another question which might apply here as well, I'll repost that link with this post as well).

Bottom line is that depending on how badly someone might want to hide something from you, it might be beyond your capabilities to decypher.

You can run the characters through the de-obfuscators on the linked reference I provided on the chance it might work, but the chances of that working are slim.

What keylogger? It just records sequences of keys, so it may not always look like interesting data if you are playing games, using a lot of control keys and such.

There is no computer encryption, or code. What you have is the keys that were pressed down on your keypad.
