is $158.00 dollars a good deal for a brand new 55 gallon or could i find a cheaper used one with a good pump and no leaks or scratches.
and also i cant remember what brand it is so if anyone is familiar with Wal-Marts fish tank selection let me know i think it was Aquatech Deluxe 55 or somehting like that it definitly said Deluxe 55

I just bought the same tank but the 10 gallon size and I love it. I even met several fish lovers that said it was great before I did buy it. My tank is beautiful, came with everything and great instructions. I would buy it bc their all the same tanks you just get better deals at wal-mart. Good luck. I love my new fish tank :)

That is a good price, but I have seen that package and the filter is garbage. You can get a 55 gallon for $119 at Petsmart that comes with nice lid and lights, and then spend $35-70 on a really good Penguin bio filter (that thing in the aquatech box is NOT really a bio filter, I wouldnt waste money on it). So, for about the same price or less, you can get a better quality set up. Good luck!

Hey I just bought the 29 gallon delux tank from Walmart on Friday! I set it up, and it is a marvolus tank! There was no scratches, no leaks, theres nothing bad about it! I am doing a fishless cycle right now, so in a few weeks I'll have lots of beautiful fish! I rate the tank a 5 out of 5! I hope you get that 55, it is quite nice!

aqua tech is marineland sold at walmart -- the filter is quite good as long as you don't overstock the tank. you probably want to replace the bulbs if you are considering live plants.
i put together a 20 gallon and it cost me more in the longrun. i got the tank and filter for 35 (i thought that was a deal), the hood was 33 and i didn't get a heater and all the freebies.
anyhow --

Walmart or Petsmart starter kits are great. They come with everything you need but the aquarium decorations you want. I noticed Petsmart now has a bow front tank. Soon I plan to get me one of those and eventually a 55 gal tank too.

the brand the tank is regent so i would research on the company and take it from there and for the video i would love to see it, post it on youtube, and for the price it sounds not bad and also walmart has a 90 day return policy so if nothing happens by then, then you got a good tank that wont blow up real good

I think the tanks are great at walmart, but I wouldn't recommend buying fish there

yeah its great
i would know because ive had it for 2 and a half years
no leaks, scratches, anything.
great water filter, great heater, lights last a long time, (no air pumps)
tho it could be possable for the plastic to crack due to its transportation to walmart or to your house
ps dont buy anyother fish tank from peco or petsmart it is expensive, and cracks over a period, total waste of money

yeah i wanna see that vidoe too!!! you can probably find a USED one for cheaper but... its not garunteed atleast at walmart they give you this thing called a recipt and you get your money back if you dont want it or it breaks.... cool uh? :O)
