Well he apologized more than once. His first apology I think was truly heart felt. I believe he wrote the song to garner more attention for himself. But I think people have come down too hard on Akon, yes he did simulate sex with an underage girl on stage, which was his fault for putting himself in that situation but this girl, her parents, and the club should bear most of the blame.

Some people might find that song cute. Not me personally.
And who are you to get upset with where the writers and performers draw their creative energy from? The artist writes stuff (even though I despise rap) and deserves to perform what he writes. Just don't worry about glorifying it if you don't like it.
I love music, but Akon sucks.

people sing about their feelings all the time. That's why art is a form of self expression. What's wrong with him singing about it? I don't understand why anyone will have a problem with it. He is appologizing afterall ie asking for forgiveness
