The Supreme Court rules in US v. Alvarez-Machain that it is permissible for America to abduct suspects in foreign countries and smuggle them into the United States for trial, without extradition approval from those other countries. Of course, the U.S. recognizes no reciprocal right for the reverse to happen on our soil. 1992 Supreme court ruling...it is not just bush!! there seems to be a pattern of eroding civil liberties for some time now. Do you agree? I think it is the phony war on drugs and the patriot act was designed more to further erode civil liberties than to fight terrorists as most of its measures would have done nothing to prevent or detect the terrorist acts of 9/11.

daang two in the same place at the same time...B2o has company!
The "aid" we offered officially from the US government to Tsunami efforts(excluding private donations as in YOU AND I) was not even the largest....most came from EU and Asia not US we made a big show with a few warships!!! (what else) and then boogied on out. Our actions there were criticized which of course got little or no play here in the land of gossip and corporate disinformation that we call CNNFOXMSNBC . Thus your we are the greatest at everything and everybody owes us attitude is soooo 1940's I gotta wonder if you are from that "greatest" generation..do not get me started on the truth behind WW1 and 2 which were colonialist spats painted with the lies of the brits and the stupidity/cupidity of the germans as well as our desire to sell guns to everyone!!!

Absolutely. Also think about the recent FBI and CIA findings that the Patriot act has been overused in spying on private citizens. I heard a conservative make a good point: Do they want Hillary to have those powers? Most of them don't, but by making it law, the whole thing continues and they all will utilize it regardless of party or slant.
RE: B2o
When Katrina happened, many, many countries offered the US and Louisiana money and aid...the gov't refused it. Here it is almost 2 years, and it's still a mess, and the levees are still not fixed.

Since Bush & Cheney have caused all the trouble in Iraq all the countries hate us. There has been more fighting in all the other countries, everywhere you look they are killing each other. It wasn't that way until that moron and warmonger started a war that should never have been . You never saw all this fighting in all the other countries all the terrorist have come out of the woodwork killing so many in all the other countries all because two crazy maniacs installed them selves in our Great Country of America. That is the reason all the other countries hate us is these 2 no good trashy bunch of morons strated a war that they can not win, we're losing more everyday,they know we aren't going to win in Iraq , but you see they don't mind the troops dying , just sending more to be slaughtered. It makes me hang my head in shame to think that two Morons have the whole world fighting and killing .for no reason except a pair of no good Dictators we have in our White House.
There has to be a stopping place this can't continue, we have got to bring our troops home , if we don't there will be none to come home. We're not winning the war we are losing and will never win the war in Iraq..

Of course it's a scheme to separate us from our civil liberties. Bush doesn't even care about terrorism, or he would have captured bin Laden long before now. The fear-mongering is all a front, not only to deprive us of our rights, but also as a distraction from the massive fiscal crimes that the administration is engaged in, on behalf of their cronies and campaign contributors.

foreign policy is far more complicated then the average person has privy to we can only guess without tremendous
research what understanding MIGHT improve our relations with other countries it seems to me it is usually the lack of accesibility to a complete education free of bias that is not available in some foreign countries that is far worse than our attempts to protect our country and it's citizens.
Aside from defending ourselves I find this a very good quote;
Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.

I don't think its right that's why you try and have a dialog with other countries. You might need their assistance on things such as this. Bo2 is lost I hope its not drugs we have enough drug addicts around.
