I had a great time in Poland. I studied for a month in Krakow and also toured other parts of the country. It's a beautiful country with lots of history to see. Most of the Poles I saw liked Americans.

A polite American would rarely receive any prejudice based on nationality ANYWHERE in europe. Our government and current foreign policy is quite unpopular everywhere but most
europeans distinguish Americans from our government. I thought the Polish as a people were very warm and friendly (and the women are some of the most beautiful in all of europe in my opinion.) Poland is still euro free and remains very affordable for Americans and full of things to see. Go to Poland!

I was only in Poland for a few days, and I found people were reserved, but helpful when you ask them. They give you your space, but they do enjoy sincere interaction, so I think if you show an interest in Poland, you'll find them lovely. They're not sweet-talkers, though, so you'll get frank answers.
