I chose the term intra-personal to indicate the individual's philosophy in dealing with the self.

Intrapersonal philosophy, that is, philosophy about how the individual should treat oneself, should be based on the striving for individual growth. Individual inner (cognitive) and outer (physical and social) behaviours are good for the self when they strengthen one's psychological well-being, one's moral character, and optimize self-determination, and enhance one's capacities to play roles in society that benefit the individual's own development and the individual development of others.

It is appropriate to put your self down only if you are willing to learn from your past mistakes and not repeat them. Just do not allow the behaviour for which you put yourself down to continue.

It is appropriate to be negative about the negative choices that you have made; those are the choices that have been counterproductive to individual growth. However, it is developmentally important to be positive about having the freedom to make choices.

It is appropriate to punish yourself for your mistakes so long as you are unwilling to repeat them. Punishing yourself for the same mistakes you have already made without changing the mistaken behaviours is foolish.

It is appropriate to take pride in what you do well so long as your pride does not lead you to believe that you have reached perfection and have nothing else left to achieve.

Taking pride in your accomplishments is a good way of rewarding yourself for those accomplishments.

Nothing can be wrong with rewarding yourself for your accomplishments so long as what you consider an accomplishment is not directly harming someone else.

It is developmentally appropriate to acknowledge the good and the bad and the right and wrong about the way you treat yourself. Without acknowledging these you would hinder your capacity to grow as an individual.

Much more could be said about this topic....

What you have listed are but a few from a large list things , appropriate. Threading through each one of them will be a COMMON philosophy and that will be one`s intrapersonal philosophy. This will differenr from personality to personality. But , ultimately your aim in life and the way you want to conduct yourself in the world and your relationship with the world will decide your theme.

For example, if I run through the list you have posted I am tempted to think that you have a very inward looking attitude in life. You seems to be in conflict with the outside realities as they seem to advocate a certain "assertiveness " in life.

You , like me. are not that kind. You ( and I) would rather be on the quieter . softer side of life and not hurt anyone .
