Well, if you must. OMG, I can't believe I'm telling you this. Just dig it up and pull it out. Is there someone you can give it too? Like a neighbor or a friend. Ask around and maybe they will do all the work for you. You can transplant a rose without killing it.

I own a Lawn Care Company and the best product I have found is Bayer they sell it at Lowes. Roundup is outdated. Bayer was only open to the public a few years age because it was used for farming needs only!!! Try it i use it everyday!!!

I used spike pellets and it killed about 99% of them, I had about 2 acres of it on my property and it got rid of it. Once in awhile I will have a couple new ones pop up, but I spray weed killer on them.

Why do you want to kill it? I guess you could spray with an herbicide like glycophosphate (Round Up)

feed it some gasoline.. that is sure to kill it.. of course, not going to be able to grow anything there for a while.

You will probably have to cut it down to a manageable size and then dig it up.
