I want to watch cast away tonight but I am looking for a comedy what did u think of it! I want to see what it is like but I don't want to watch a sad a dramatic movie......What type of movie would you classify it as ---comedy--drama---and so on!

It is not really a comedy - more dramatic and sad. It has comedic moments but mostly for relief. If you are looking for a good laugh this is NOT the right movie.

There are so many impossibilities in that movie, that I might classify it as a fantasy. But seriously, it's a drama.
If you want a comedy with Tom Hanks, get Catch Me if You Can. Not laughs beginning to end, but a very good movie.

It is not a comedy, Hon. It is a good movie. I like all of Tom Hanks movies. This dragged in some parts but all in all, I enjoyed it. Don't watch it if you want a laugh, though.

It's pretty sad. When I'm having a day where I want to have a good cry, I throw it in and watch it again. Excellent movie, but definately not a comedy.

Drama it is a real good movie long but if you want a comedy it's not the one you want try Just Visiting real funny

It was very funny in some parts, like him talking to his only friend, Wilson the volleyball, but very very sad at some other parts. Definately a comedy drama, mostly drama though.

Drama. They may be some funny parts, but definitely drama. There are lots of times in the movie that it is only Tom Hanks on the island dealing with being by himself.

Cast Away...well I think it's a great movie. Tom Hanks is a great actor! It's a survival story under: Action/Adventure and Drama
