A nuclear bomb is the least of my worries. If it is very close I would be dead or injured. If it was far away and up wind I would be fine.

Actually the bigger threat is biological or chemical.
A terrorist could put a biological contaminate in a water system and by noon the next day anyone drinking that water would be sick or dieing or dead. It is easy to contaminate and doesn't take much...can be cleaned out easily and does no damage to the surrounding area.
