If your really asking : Is a MAC worth the price. Yes. Try this experiment: Price out a MAC at www.apple.com Then, price out a virtually identical PC at www.Dell.com or www.hp.com.

Then, add Vista Ultimate, M$-Office (Neo-Office on OS X), Norton Internet Security (OS X has no malware), Back up software (Included), and any other software you may need (Probably freely available).

Then, compare prices, you will find that the PRICE will be very close.

Finally, go to an Apple Store and take one for a test drive, ask lots of questions, and decide for yourself.

I know because I did it, and I'm glad I choose OS X. I installed the free NeoOffice, Firefox and VLC, and in about a week, it was "Goodbye Bill, hello Steve"!

Apple is way different than dell and Hp , because apple has a different operating system(for eg, dell and hp either run vista or xp). It usually depends what the features of the computer are.
Apple isnt really for gaming , its usually for artwork and connections and web browsing , when dell and hp which have vista is good for gaming(depending on your graphics card)
Anyways i hope u make a good decision

well if ur not a gamer then go with Mac, Dell And HP are crap even if u do game, but if you have to chose as a gamer go with HP you can buy stuff for it at the store and dont have to wait for it to arive, and hey if ur gona get junk, u can at least get it fast. Best option is to build your own, this way even the cheepest self built is min 5x better than anything u can buy already made, and u can upgrade.

I think for me, Dell is the best computer. We have four Dell computers and not one of them has given us any real problems. They are all 5 months old. In the end, I would reccomend either Dell or HP.
