technically anyone in your country can be president. I would love to see " average Joe American " become president. someone who may have had a few years below or right at the poverty line, perhaps lower middle class. can a person with no connections, or money become president. In Canada ( don't live here ) its possible America, I'm not so sure. You should be able to run , regardless of you financial status, as long as your honest, of sound mind, and American.

Well if Kermit the Frog can be president...hey I have a chance.

And honestly, if you can put together a coherent sentence, then you are well on your way to being a better president. The bar has been set so low by this president that just about anyone can do better.

But of course, it's not about ability. It's about money and the preception of your ability that is sold to the American public.

Look at W....he was sold to the American people as somebody with moral character who would restore the dignity of the Presidency. Proof again, that there is no truth in advertising.

Well, if you're of legal age and feel you're qualified to take the office of president, then enter yourself as a candidate for the primaries. Unknowns have little chance, especially if they have no prior political experience. Also, it takes money -- lots of it -- to conduct a campaign. Do you have the money to put where your mouth is? I didn't think so. Lots of people feel they could do a better job than Bush, and they probably have the best of intentions, but unfortunately, it's not that easy to run for president.

Bush is way too liberal but I don't see how anyone who is even more of a goofy liberal than him like the Democrats would or could be any better at all.How is even more of what currently erodes our rights any better at all? It's worse. And it's not like I'm just pulling that view out of thin air as hyperbole to be insulting.I'm going by Clinton's rotten performance before where he viciously went after our rights.

1) Are you over 35 years old?
2) Are you a natural born US citizen?
3) Have you lived in the US for at least 14 years.

If you answered yes to all the above questions, I see no reason why you cannot be president.

I don't know why you can't be president. You do have to have been born here in the USA, be at least 35 and I think it would be good if you were in a lesser public office first (like a mayor, governor or senator). As long as you have all that, go for it!

You just have to run. And I am 110% sure you are better than Bush. Anyone is better than him at being president.
