Does anyone think J.K.Rowling will end Harry Potter the same way The Sopranos was ended - with a nonending?

I believe that interview was in reference to Book 6 actually where a main character did die.

So Dead Poet, there will be movie where one of the main characters dies and hell yeah I still want to see it!

I don't think so. If she follows the pattern of the heroic quest, there will definitely be a resolution. However it is possible that either Harry and Voldemort will both die or both live, because I believe that Lily's sacrifice connected them in some way. Otherwise Harry's scar would not hurt him when Voldemort is up to trouble, nor would he be able to sometimes see or feel what Voldemort is doing/thinking/feeling.

no. that would anger WAY to many fans. The sales would be bad. The movie would be flat. Sopranos was different...they might make a movie. so jkr might finish with, what? Another sentology. HP is going to end whether we like it or not.

One of the theories I tossed around waiting for book seven is that maybe the whole entire series is nothing more than the musings and fantasies of a young boy who is locked in that cupboard under the stairs and is trying to pass time while he is.

I think that maybe J.K rowling had planed to kill one of the main characters but maybe she wont because of the money. Would you see the movie if one of the main characters died?

that is a definite possibilit but i think to do that would be to infuriating, she says a main character will be killed but there are several possibilities who could be that/those main characters, i think it needs t be a big drmatic ending with many deaths necessary to deal with the dark lord

I don't think so. I think she will definitely end it so no one else can use her characters. Besides if she does a non ending like that a lot of fans would be unhappy.
