Hey there, I have a Mazda 3, bought it in 2006 (actually i'm leasing it) but i've really enjoyed driving it. Very sporty...they actually fashioned them after the NASCAR sports cars. It comes with really cool seats, red and black polka dots. I got mine in red with a sun roof and power windows. It gets great gas mileage, I only have to fill up once every couple of weeks.

the best car I ever had for that mission was way back in the day , it was a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse turbo. I got 40 Miles per gallon highway and the turbo allowed me to pass a joker hogging the left lane in 6 seconds without downshifting.

yes it was that quick and the turbo was juiced up to 21 psi.

and today? you can get away with a MINI Cooper S.

it is Supercharged and my friend has his up to 215 HP silly. a little 1.6 with fantastic gas mileage going 144 MPH is obscene :)

I'd go with Ford Fusion, Luxus, Accura, Nissian 300 ZX turbo. Toyota. If you are going to be doing a lot of highway miles get the larger engines. They don't have to work as hard as highways speeds and will last longer.

Let me tell you if money isn't a factory I'd go for an Audi A6, amazing car. If money is a factor the Ford Focus is really nice, driven them on multiple times.

1990s BMW 3 series. Handles better than mostly anything and will get pretty good milage if you go light on the gas. The engines are known to last past 200,000 miles too.
