RAM is a very dangerous thing to mess with. It has chemical components that you don't want to know about. The acid in Ram is the least dangerous actually. If you look closely to a RAM stick, you will see it has two rows of sharp teeth, and it's breath is really stinking. You must only grab the RAM by its tail, and do it fast so that it does not turn back and bite you, because the bite is infectious and you must have an antirabic treatment...
Also, RAM is meant to stay only in its cage, inside the computer, and must not be touched by noobs and computards. Especially the ones that think that a silicone component has acids inside.
Take care and next time make sure you eat a good meal and don't get sick from the dirty hands, or you will blame again your computer for your stomach...

lowl, no RAM chips are competly safe to handle. There are no chemicals, or harmful substances associated with them. If you are feeling ill, you may want to talk to a doctor.

I've never heard of that, and never had a problem in 30 years.
But, I do wash my hands after work.
