get an intel core 2 duo cpu n a nvidia 8600 cause it its not as expensive as the 8800 but still a dx10 card 2 play next gen games. as for motherboard get 1 that can has a lga 775 socket 4 the C2D cpu. also make sure it has a pci-e x16 slot for the 8600 card. a intel cpu is faster and can be overcloaked easier but u dont have to worry about that. i would normally suggest an ati card but the dx10 cards they have r expensive.

u can find parts here

the best cards that have always worked good for me is the nvida Geforce series. As far as your cpu i would go with AMD because they are cheaper and more dependable. The best mainboard i could suggest is asus motherboards if you are going to spend along time on the computer.I would try a Asus M2N-E AMD Athlon 64/Sempron Ready Socket AM2 ATX Motherboard.
