Complex.
I want the sex, but with someone I have affection for.
But I don't want all that "committment" stuff - either way.
But I do want someone who is fond of me and, at least to some degree, "bothered" about me, and about whom I can be "bothered".
I think that what I want is impossible, a sexual relationship in which we are both really concerned about one another, but which contains a mutually held non committment, and in which we can both enjoy other "engagements", without hassle but with affectionate concern.

I am really with you on that one, (or I used to be) I've done that before; and it is jjust so easy, no discussion about who's family to spend the holiday with, no lamenting over who does most of the house work, it was like just the good stuff, just the middle of the Oreo, or just the creme filling, no pretending it was just good.................... the down side is, it is just not as real, but hey, real is not all it's cracked up to be either!

I do. I don't really like all of the emotional stuff that comes with it, because it makes me feel fake. I am not romantic, and I don't like the idea of spending the rest of my life with someone. It's like an amusement park; once you win that really big teddy bear, you can't ride on the rides anymore...

I understand and can relate to your comments. I feel the same way sometimes but for me I think I prefer to have the relationship.

Being happily married for nearly 30yrs I can't imagine one without the other and as for ego's I don't have one to speak of so I don't need flattery just tell it like it is.

I'll go for a relationship anytime. Meaningless sex is nothing to me.

I feel the same - to a degree.
I think, right, let's just sh*ag, nothing more - but then I end up getting all emotional whether I like it or not.
Pathetic I am :-(
