I was talking to my mother, and she told me that I am a 4th cousin of George Bush through his mother's family. I hate bashing anyone in my family, so I am permanently avoiding bashing him. I have actually gone from Democrat to Independent because I have become frustrated with Democrats in recent years and I am willing to support anyone who is honest and not corrupt. I can't complain, as I have a decent amount of money and Bush has done nothing that has made my life harder.

I'm not a Bush fan, but I still wouldn't bash him. It's a waste of time.
If I grew up in a privledged family with connections, like Bush did, and then became president, I might be just like him.
So who am I to judge?
That doesn't mean I can't disagree with his policies and feel many of them are immoral. I do.
As a citizen, I feel obligated to do what I can to offset the dammage Bush has caused in this country and in the world in my small way.
But bashing the man is a waste of time.

1. you're related to anyone if you trace the line back far enough, 4th cousin is barely any relation at all.
2. every decision effects you in some way, and since when does it have to affect you for you to disagree with it?
3. if you have already permanently avoided bashing him, why are you asking this question?

I dont know if you are BSing or what, but just because someone is family doesnt mean you should defend them. Think about it. Charles Manson has family-if you were related to him would you defend him? Jeffery Dahmer-would you defend him just because he is a cousin? I never understood the whole defend your family-blood thing, when you know for a fact your family is wrong.

Most important is the truth...how do you feel about the truth. As long as you are honest with yourself than your opinion will be a value. Otherwise you are living a lie. So soul search and then declare your opinion.
