The only files you can add to your Wii console via the use of an SD card are JPG images and MP3 files. You cannot play CDs or DVDs on the Nintendo Wii.

The wii doesn't play DVD's thats the only downfall but its very minor cause almost every one has DVD's now so it doesn't really matter.
