would you choose to figure it out on your own?

I'm figuring it out for myself... and we have to do it alone, it's part of our evolution, to experience and make mistakes until we become enlightened. Pure of thought! and full of Love!

No I would not pay to be told the reason I am here, because who is going to give me my answer??
I would chose to figure it out on my own if that were an option, but really,do we ever really know?
Not until all is said and done, and then I wonder if even then we have answers to this great mystery.

No one should be charging money on such things as that! That would be like charging a price for water. . . . Anyhow, if you really have the answer, well then you can keep it for yourself. Not interested in paying for answers that ought to be public domain. And furthermorre I'd suggest changing your heart and spinning this answer out for free to people on a personal reference network basis so that we can all come to know this mystery, or at least your opinion on it. And to make money just go the old fashioned honest route and get a good honest hard working job instead with the other time you have, when you're not out delivering this good news of "the answer" to everyone.

Hm. Imagine creating beings and then not giving them instructions on how they operate or what their purpose is. Having the aforementioned user manual but carelessly throwing it away instead of giving it to the beings? What sense would that make? So if we were indeed created by God a creator then it makes associated sense that a Book was created and made available to us which explains how we work and what our purpose is. (And that we were created with an innate sense as well that helps us figure it out, it seems also). And the Bible is free. Sometimes you might choose to purchase one but you don't absolutely have to. And if you do, I'll make an exception there because God is not taking profit out of that. The people that are should feel guilty for making it into a business (many of them perhaps aim to sell the book at zero profit, if not that would be nice if they did, just out of principle). As for the competing books, for those of other religions that would disagree that it is the Bible, I can only say that so far in all my studies I see the Bible as flawless in content and transcendent in intelligence and wisdom, and I don't see that in the other books I've studied thus far, though I'll have to read them all more to be deductively conclusively fair. I'll keep an open mind.

P. S. it seems the basic purpose of humans if the Bible indeed has our answer, is to love God that created us and to love one another, our fellow createds. And it seems a way to please God (which is something that one would do if they loved someone--to please that person), is to do things that are in accordance with his teachings for us. And it will be a 2-sided benefit: 1.) God will be pleased and beam with joy similar to a parent when their child does well, shows gratitude, etc., and 2.) You will be elevated in your happiness level because you have just applied the teaching of the One that, having created us, knows the best way for us to live--the way that we perform the best and are most happy and fulfilled. And that in a way, when our heart leaps within us, when we do good, or good is done to us, is perhaps a proof of God's existence, incidentally.

I would have answered shorter but I see that this is the "Philosophy" section. That's a hobby of mine.

I've already figured out my reason for being here. To pay for it now might make me doubt my own good judgement... we get to decide the reason...

To have someone else tell me would be meaningless (and a waste of good money).

Peace

I'd figure it out on my own. Life's supposed to be about discovery anyways.

I might pay to have solid advice on how my strengths and weaknesses fit into the world.

I've chosen my reason, so I wouldn't pay for something that was already in my control.
