Racism doesn't go anywhere. It exists in the sub-concious until anger or a heated issue (such as immigration) brings it out in the open for all to see and hear.

I don't think racism has resurfaced recently, but I do think reverse racism is starting to come out. Not to say that this isn't a normal feeling, because it is. But minorities may feel as if they are owed something for the hardships they've endured in the past. A lot of experts on the topic say reverse racism is stronger than racism and it's a backlash we should prevent.

Racism .That is just a word our government thought up to pit us against each other.Usually it awakens when one group of people getmoney jobs or preference over another In canada for ex.refugues get aprox 4 x tttthe finacial assistance from gov. that a diabled or pensioner. In the states it seems yuor gov.wants to legalize illegals and if they keep the attention on illegals the gov. keeps the blame off them.Just think about it Who makes the laws that allow this polititions thats who. Then they call us racist or trouble makers and bbpass more laws to stiffle us.We shoulddemand our polititions tobe answerable to who voted them in not to refugees or illegals or other countries views .

I don't believe it has. If anything, people have become more accepting. Even down here in the deep south, where I live, racism isn't mentioned any more, at least not among the people that I associate with.
There are good and bad in every race and I've noticed (I don't mean you), that racism is merely being used as a tool that is hastily becoming outdated and worn out.
It's a favorite word of many of the libs here on this site, but most of us are smarter than to allow ourselves to fall for it. :)

Not between blacks and whites. Illegal immigration reform has become more of an issue in the past few years, so that might have increased some racism between hispanics and non-hispanics. But only a little. Most objections to illegal immigration are not racist.

Racism has resurfaced because of free speech.
It is not illegal to hold such views. It is contemptible.
Thank goodness for free speech. I would rather have them speak up and me be able to answer them just as loudly,...
...vs. live in a country that silences those we disagree with.
Same with seditious people.

Racism has probably always been a part of the world's many cultures.
This trait can be heightened though, if people are incited toward it.
If people are dissatisfied or afraid in their own lives, they may be incited to racism. If the general welfare is tended to, racism decreases. That's just my humble opinion.

It seems to have swung too far the other way now from my perspective...I hate PC/diversity/inclusion, etc...I was not racist at all 20 years ago but after having the above shoved down my throat for the last 20 yrs I am becoming quite sick of it all...my 2 cents worth

I don't think so. The overwhelming majority of Americans are not at all rascist.
Activists and haters like to yell about rascism and accuse people of it, but it's not accurate. Illegal immigration, for example, is not about race to Americans. It's about the illegality.
Sure, there are some rascists. There is an exception to every rule. But most Americans don't think less of someone based on race.
