My boyfriends mother got me hooked on beading. We live in a kinda small town and there is only one bead studio here, and they dont have many patterns. does anyone know of any good sites with free beading patterns online to make bracelets and necklaces? Ive tried looking and havent found many things that are what i am looking for, and im mainly finding knitting things and beading not involving necklaces or bracelets. if you could help me, it would be great! thanks!

www.about.com, you can join the group and they send you stuff in your email as new ones come up, i get beading and quilting messabes from them. they have beaded things of all sorts though its straight beading, stringing and peyote stitching which is how you weave articles like small medicine bags. there are magazines on the news stands too. Bead and button, and others that either have some beading projects in them or are all beading projects.

In addition to www.about.com and http://www.bead-patterns.com/
There are also patterns and ideas to be found at www.firemountain.com.

I also enjoy the site at Bellaonline.com

Yahoo also has some great bead groups who share original patterns with each other and keep each other up to date on the newest links to be found online.

http://www.beadandbutton.com/ has some great stuff - it's free to sign up.

I have gotten a lot of help and tips from allcrafts.net

Just register, and go to the beading pages. You will never be spammed from the site.
