yes you can it varies between 2 -3 kilos and sometimes it is just fluid retention on the combination pill which has both hormones in that pill - ask your doctor for the mini pill - it only has 1 hormone which lowers your chances of fluid retention and protection you the same as a combination pill - although on the mini pill you cant skip a period - I'm on the mini pill for the reason i had fluid retention on the combination pill - MOST women do gain weight on the combination pill ( this pill is the most common pill).

however when you take the pill ( combination or mini) you need to take it at the same time EVERYDAY for it to work and cover you to not fall pregnant to stop wearing condoms and if you miss a tablet or are late taking it within a 3 hour gap - you then need to wear condoms for the next 14 days.

The pill needs to be taken properly and you need to be really responsible when using it you need to be aware of alot of side effect and how other medication effects the pill some medication can even cancel the pill all together and i have known many people who were on pill took it properly and feel pregnant due to to her medication.

so speak to your doctor with concerning and questions about the pill. good luck

If there was one that guaranteed you wouldn't gain weight, you'd have heard about it. There is no such pill.

You can avoid gaining weight on the pill by being aware that your appetite may be increased because of the pill, and paying attention to what you eat and how much. Many women don't gain weight on the pill, and for many other it is just a few pounds. The pill creates a false state of pregnancy, so your body is trying to get you to a weight where you can carry a child.

it is a well known fact that birthcontrol pills will cause weight gain, mood swings, break through bleeding, pregnancy, blood clots, PE, drug interactions, and even a stroke. Just check the Physician Desk Reference or the inserts the pharmacy gives you when you pick up the script.

Natural Family Planning is NOT the Catholic rhythm birthcontrol but a safe reliable, and cheap alternative to the pill. It is easy to use, easy to learn, it will not interact with any medications, and it can be used to achieve/avoid a pregnancy. anybody with a serious illness or abnormal cycles can use it.

My husband & I have been using it for 10 yrs. successfully to avoid a pregnancy due to serious health issues. We learned about it via a local hospital in the area & were taught correctly by an NFP practitioner. Check out the site listed to find one in your area.

It does require committment on eachother's part but isn't that what marriage is all about? you have so much to gain & nothing to lose. Can the same be said about the pill??

a low dose pill will have less effect on weight gain. i've heard good things about yasmin...some people reported losing weight but its what i'm on and i've never lost weight because of it but i've never had to lose weight so i can't say for certain. the whole concept of birth control is that the hormones are elevated so your body thinks its pregnant and won't release and egg. however when your body thinks this it also tends to store fat more than it would usually in preperation for a baby. sometimes it takes a little experimenting to find the best fit for you.

this is going to come all the way down to the two as i've got faith the two are the two in charge and have equivalent rights. the place human beings generally get the assumption women are people who've greater administration is by using women having the call of an abortion. i do no longer think abortion is a valid decision different than in very dire scientific circumstances yet I do discover it no longer elementary to argue with that line of theory. It purely "takes 2 to get pregnant" for the period of the theory and after beginning to many human beings for some atypical reason, mutually as for the period of the being pregnant this is something the female has finished administration over. I nevertheless think of the ultimate answer is for the two human beings to take administration of their beginning administration in the event that they are not attempting to have a new child, yet the two could have equivalent rights as nicely. yet no longer actually everyone concurs on the two 0.5 of that sentence. no longer each and every woman could have an abortion besides. No beginning administration that i understand of protects against STDs different than condoms, and that secure practices is particularly constrained.
