Can liberals actually contribute to society?

It seems like every liberal on this site can do nothing but bash the current administration, yet not help fix anything. It's much easier to fault everyone else than to try and fix it.

"Republicans. Paying for everyone else since 1930."

I do nothing but bash libs? I actually answer questions and try to fix things. Since you didn't actually comment on anything, I suppose I'm correct after all.

Haha, this question did exactly what I thought it would do.

Rather than someone say that liberals are here to promote change, better, America, etc, they did nothing but flame me.

Got owned?

People who think like you would have consider the founders useless, for much of their efforts were directed to write provisions in the USA constitution to protect against tyranny.

Are liberals like a species of clones?

One would think so by your question, but I think our society is a little more complex than that.

Both liberals and consevatives have contributed great things to this society.

Furthermore, how are you so sure liberals are not helping to fix anything? Is your contempt helping to fix anything?

As a progressive, I say let's get over our damn differences already.

Who cares if you're conservative or liberal? Hatred adds nothing. You say you are trying to fix things yet I see no example in history in which contempt for a "group" of people ever fixed anything.

Want to start fixing things? Sit down with a liberal and have an honest conversation. (Or better yet, don't. Just hang out with them and you may find they aren't the crazed idiots you think they are.) Try and see that person's side and explain yours without flying into a blind rage.

You maybe laboring under a misconception. Come on now...everyone contributes. Conservatives have been long noted as suits...so they are good at bean counting such as banking and Wall Street Type finance. The Liberals have been noted for acts of creativity so they excel in areas such as computers, software and Hollywood. All generate to the US GDP.

So remember democracy is based on debate...what the hell is to debate if everyone thought alike. Difference in debate helps you sharpen your mind and improves your thinking...I know when someone disagrees with you its uncomfortable, but its a good thing that our forefather foreseen.

I myself am Liberal on certain things and conservative on others...I think its best to think first before deciding on a issue. I don't need a party or ideology to tell me how to think for myself.

Most liberals seem to be very childish in nature, example being the continuous whining about losing the presidential election. The election was decided under the law and our Constitution. The Bushman is not the best president we ever had, but that is the way it goes. The modern liberal movement seems to be stuck on turning the country into a socialist state. At every turn they are trying to change the law or the Constitution and none of their efforts seem to of any worth other than to grow the government and the tax revenues. They are basically useless for the protection of and the forward movement of our country.

Can you put in a question that is not partisan and has already come to a conclusion?

I hope so, because I am getting sick and tired seeing the same con and liberal bashing questions over and over again.

-------------

The following holds true for cons as well as libs......just change the words a bit and there ya got it

1. Stop listening to conservative AM talk radio.

2. Congress DID NOT HAVE THE SAME INTELLIGENCE as the White House. As much as your handlers repeat that, it is simply not true. What they had, was what the Bush Administration spoon fed them. Remember Colin Powell, upon reviewing his presentation to the UN, saying "this is bullshiieett"?

3. Yes, Clinton talked tough against Saddam, warning of WMD's and his threat to the region. But Clinton, in his wisdom (and on the advice of knowledgeable intelligence personnel) did not initiate an all-out invasion. The sanctions seemed to be working.

4. Your monkey-boy, the least competent pilot of the TANG "champagne squadron" will drag this country down in a war we can't win. All the while bankrupting the nation by giving huge tax breaks to his country club "class".

5. No one will ever know why you, my friend, actually supported this dim-witted frat boy who never, EVER gave shiiett one about you and the horse you rode in on.

what problems have you solved on this site?

since you've been working to solve so many problems...

(and by the way, by your own definition of solving problems, this question in and of its self is USELESS in every way, thus making you quite the hypocrite...)

OH and we voted in a new congress... that is working on fixing everything...

OH and since unemployment is SO LOW and KERRY got so many votes... quite a few liberals do work and pay for YOUR WAR...

EDIT: and don't you love how conservatives call liberals childish and then go off listing nothing more than factless propaganda that they couldn't back up with a library full of books if they tried... not being able to see through propaganda that's not even well designed... pretty immature if you ask me...

For what it's worth . . . since you asked, you might indulge me in the following scenario:

A day in the life of Joe Republican

Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards.

With his first swallow of water, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to insure their safety and that they work as advertised.

All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan because some liberal union workers fought their employers for paid medical insurance - now Joe gets it too.

He prepares his morning breakfast, bacon and eggs. Joe's bacon is safe to eat because some girly-man liberal fought for laws to regulate the meat packing industry.

In the morning shower, Joe reaches for his shampoo. His bottle is properly labeled with each ingredient and its amount in the total contents because some crybaby liberal fought for his right to know what he was putting on his body and how much it contained.

Joe dresses, walks outside and takes a deep breath. The air he breathes is clean because some environmentalist wacko liberal fought for laws to stop industries from polluting our air.

He walks to the subway station for his government-subsidized ride to work. It saves him considerable money in parking and transportation fees because some fancy-pants liberal fought for affordable public transportation, which gives everyone the opportunity to be a contributor.

Joe begins his workday.

He has a good job with excellent pay, medical benefits, retirement, paid holidays and vacation because some lazy liberal union members fought and died for these working standards.

Joe's employer pays these standards because Joe's employer doesn't want his employees to call the union. If Joe is hurt on the job or becomes unemployed, he'll get a worker compensation or unemployment check because some stupid liberal didn't think he should lose his home because of his temporary misfortune.

It's noontime and Joe needs to make a bank deposit so he can pay some bills. Joe's deposit is federally insured by the FSLIC because some godless liberal wanted to protect Joe's money from unscrupulous bankers who ruined the banking system before the Great Depression.

Joe has to pay his Fannie Mae-underwritten mortgage and his below-market federal student loan because some elitist liberal decided that Joe and the government would be better off if he was educated and earned more money over his lifetime.

Joe is home from work. He plans to visit his father this evening at his farm home in the country. He gets in his car for the drive. His car is among the safest in the world because some America-hating liberal fought for car safety standards.

He arrives at his boyhood home. His was the third generation to live in the house financed by Farmers' Home Administration because bankers didn't want to make rural loans. The house didn't have electricity until some big-government liberal stuck his nose where it didn't belong and demanded rural electrification.

He is happy to see his father, who is now retired. His father lives on Social Security and a union pension because some wine-drinking, cheese-eating liberal made sure he could take care of himself so Joe wouldn't have to.

Joe gets back in his car for the ride home, and turns on a radio talk show. The radio host keeps saying that liberals are bad and conservatives are good. He doesn't mention that the beloved Republicans have fought against every protection and benefit Joe enjoys throughout his day. Joe agrees: "We don't need those big-government liberals ruining our lives! After all, I'm a self-made man who believes everyone should take care of themselves, just like I have."

Yes they are, and no they can't.

About the only thing liberals are good for is keeping a leash on the more wacked-out ideas the religious right comes up with.

Is being an internet republican a critical part of being a future fbi guy?

Histroy shows the NSA to be a republican organization.

I hoped the bureau would be more interested in ethics than political allegiance.
