cause his mother came from a muggle family
PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION ABOUT HARRY POTTER
it is on the first page of Books & Authors and i ask what you thing will happen on harry potter 7th book

im not sure u could say he is half blooded bcuz, as it has been pointed out already, half is when one parent is a muggle with absolutly no power and one parent is a witch or wizard. a pure blood is someone who is from a long line of witches and wizards and their parents, grandparents, great grandparents, gggp,ggggp...etc etc..were all wizards. so harry is not half blood (his dad was pureblood and mother was a witch born to muggles) because both parents were magical, but his mom was not a pure blood. so harry is not either, but somewhere in the middle of the two.

Harry isn't pureblood because his grandparents on his mother's side were muggles. If Lily had been a pureblood, Harry would be pureblood since James was as well. If she had been half blood, Harry would still be half blood.
Edit: Contrary to was people have been saying, he is NOT a mudblood as that is a term (a rude one at that) for muggle-born witches and wizards.

Rowling explained that purebloods have parents and both set of grandparents with magical abilities. Since Lily comes from a muggle family, Harry is considered a half-blood.

Dad's parents were witch and wizard, and his mom's side were muggles. His mom is muggle born(mudblood) and that makes Harry half blood.
Half blood = muggle born(mudblood) + pure blood
or
Half Blood = muggle + pure blood
Voldemort = witch(mother) + muggle(father)
Harry= Wizard(father) + mudblood (mother)

his mother Lily was a mudblood which means that her parents were muggles (non-magical people) so when she met James which she DESPISED then LOVED (sorry im obsessed lols) James was pure blood which means that everyone were witches/wizards in his family then when they had Haryr Potter he was half blood

I don't believe that Harry is considered a half blood. He maybe considered a mud blood because his mother, Lily, was muggle born. A half-blood is someone who has one wizard parent and one muggle parent. So he is not really a blood. Snape referred to himself as the half-blood prince because his father was a muggle, and his mother's maiden name was Prince.

he's not really considered a half-blood, more like a mud-blood cause his mom was a muggleborn (born to muggle parents) and his father was a pure-blood (people who are born to wizard parents) a half-blood would have a full muggle parent who does no magic and a pure-blood.

becouse harry's mom is a muggle but she was a witch , which makes her a half blood cuz she's half witch , half muggle

Because his mother was a muggleborn witch and therefore not a pure blood witch.
