I don't think age matters as much as whether or not a person is Ready. Everyone is ready at a different age. For me it was 18. But for some people it is 15. I think 14 and 15 are really young, because at that age most kids don't know their real feelings. But that is just my opinion, everyone's opinion is going to be different.

18 sounds about right.
At 18 you can get a real job, no fast food stuff.
You should be able to financially support a child before you go around having sex. Birth control is not always reliable so you should be prepared for anything.

It's not possible to accurately assess the appropriate age for sex. People are individuals and are at different stages of maturity. We all have different levels of comprehension about sex. Is a 20 yr old young man with cognitive retardation and Sesame Street pajamas prepared for the dynamic of a sexual relationship?
Another example - when I was fifteen I understood more about biology, sex and safer sex practices than my older sister did. Yet she wanted sex at sixteen and the very idea of having sex at that age rather appalled me. I believed sex was an activity for informed, consenting adults to engage in, not kids.
For those people who define an appropriate age to have sex is "when you're married", I suppose that's fine if you plan on marrying. That is unrealistic for those who never plan to marry. And really, people could benefit from having just a bit of sexual experience prior to marriage. It would bore me to tears to share the rest of my life with someone who is not in better touch with things like sensuality or having a good knack at knowing how to kiss a gal good and proper. So there you go.

You should only have sex after marriage. It is morally and health wise smarter. If you do have sex before marriage and get an STD then you get married there is a chance of passing it on to your partner, if you wait until marriage to have sex there is no chance of passing on to you partner.

Uh, Probably 25....by then you have gone to college, grown up, hopefully gotten thru the drunken stage, had some life experience and are ready to deal with anything that comes of that sex....babies, diseases, and heartbreak to name a few.

I don't think that it's an issue of age. Sex is for marriage. The legal age for that is 18.
